Another April 20th, or as it’s commonly called here in Canada, has passed and protests across the country have ended. The premise of these protests as you are probably aware is to legalize marijuana. Now with the positive effects of the medicinal aspects of marijuana and the issue of whether it’s really a drug or just a plant like tea, coffee and tobacco I’d like to state my thoughts on this debate.
As we all are aware there is no lawful authority that can dictate how you live your life so long as you do no harm to others. I have written on this in the past and Chet has been gracious enough to grant me a break while he made it very clear that no one can tell you what to do unless you consent to them doing so.
The issue with these protests is two fold in my opinion. First, you are asking permission from a corporate “leadership” to use something created by God. That’s like asking permission to eat apples or tomatoes. You don’t need their permission to do anything so you don’t need their permission to use marijuana should it help you in some medicinal manner. You don’t need their permission even if you just like the euphoric effects it gives you and you like to “get high”.
The second problem I see with this is that to legalize marijuana means that the government employees are now permitted to use it. This is based on the fact that a corporation like CANADA can only regulate itself and thus its employees. Now I’m not sure about you but I personally don’t want some fireman or justice or bus driver being high at work because now the corporation has made it “legal” for them to do so. The potential hazards and damage that could result from that are too severe and I expect the corporation to regulate their employees sufficiently to ensure my safety while they are operating in my area.
The consequences of the corporation of CANADA to legalize marijuana are severe and the protestors are obviously ignorant of the actions they are requesting. Since you can do as you please then you can use the plant as you please. Legalization encompasses much more than what they are considering. These are sheeple who believe that the corporate leadership has the right to permit or deny them their rights. They believe they need permission from “mommy government” to use what God has provided to them. They are foolish corporatists whether they realize it or not.
Legalization would permit any and all government employees to use marijuana while working and the “government” knows that. They see and realize the consequences of their actions. As some Prime Ministers and Presidents have said “Marijuana will never be legalized so long as I am in power.” The reason they say that is because they don’t want their corporate employees being “high” at work.
It’s time to stop protesting for the “government” to permit us to do what we have the unalienable right to do and start doing it if we want to. Governments don’t grant rights they limit them. Governments regulate rights and corporatize them. God gave you your rights not some writ calling itself a constitution. Build the courage to exercise your rights and learn to defend them properly. Only then can you call yourself free and only then can you live fearlessly in clear conscience.
Until next time I wish you all peace and blessings,
Rob
legalizing weed is same as legalizing booze, now they can tax you, arrest you, and steal your car, for being under the influence, and just by the officers beLIEfe you are impared..all he has to do is think he smelled it…my friend just got busted, he admitted (dumb ass) he did smoke earlier that day, its all bout the cash and control of the Ants, the slave Ants, the defendAnts.,
I agree except that Maryland (I believe) Superior Court ruled earlier this year or late last that claim to “smell weed” is NOT sufficient evidence to justify a search. They factually are required to see it before they can search your person or property. 😉
