Blue Jays Lost Game 1 of ALCS

Yes that’s right, after the arrogance of the final game of the ALDS resulting in the Blue Jays moving on to the ALCS was responded with a Royals win and no runs by the Jays.  The Blue Jays lost but why? How can this possibly happen after such a slaughter just previously?  Are the Royals really that good?

First of all in this case much like my case in the Superior court against the military pensions people there is too much arrogance and not confidence.  There is a difference and most people can see it, at least they use to be able to see it.  Proverbs 16:18 tells us “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.”  This is wisdom.  Every person who gets too proud and arrogant falls soon after and there is a reason for that.

Pride isn’t the same as confidence.  Confidence is more like courage.  It’s the internal security that you can achieve an objective despite your fears of the consequences of losing.

Now in baseball there are no real consequences of losing, there is only the self imposed shame.  In reality it affects nothing.  It doesn’t give us greener places for our kids to play.  It doesn’t stop the radiation leak of Fukashima.  It doesn’t grow more or better food for the planet.

In real life winning and losing costs something.  It costs money or time: time you could spend with family and loved ones instead of being distracted with trivialities.  Trivialities, that is what the Respondents’ keep bringing into my suit against the Canadian Forces Pension Services (CFPS).  They are still trying to make this a tax issue and move the matter into their private court called the “Tax Court” but they refuse to provide proof  of debt.

It’s interesting and I’m tense as to how this will play out.  If the new attorney (did I forget to mention they changed lawyers?) can convince the Justice that this is actually a tax issue and not a private property issue I lose.  It’s called a Red Herring in case you aren’t familiar with your logical fallacies.  Magicians like Penn and Teller use it all the time.  It’s a diversion from the facts and evidence before the courts.

I have my long motions hearing sometime next week.  It will be a hearing on ALL of the facts and evidence before the court.  I have studied.  I have prepared.  I am confident I can win.  But I’m also very nervous, and nervous is a good thing because nervous isn’t pride.  Nervous is like fear; it’s there to protect you and watch your back.  It makes you look at what you are doing and how you are building you case before the court.  Nervous is your natural response to ensure you have all you arguments covered and all your defenses against your opponent secured.  Nervous is good and nervous is a vital part of confidence because without it you’re just arrogant and proud.

So the next time you go into court or have to deal with some corporate agent demanding servitude of you don’t be arrogant and proud; be confident and watch your ass because you never know when or how they will attempt to change the game on you.  In my case they have only changed the batter and not the play.  I hope it stays that way as I’ve been winning so far but arrogance will cause me to stop watching out for these changes and WILL result in a loss.

Until next time I wish you all Peace and Blessings,

Rob
